HOT ! Worth a Closer Look｜ Other Products ｜Martin 16 Series DSS-16E Acoustic Electric Guitar - Black Smoke

The Martin DSS-16E Black Smoke introduces a bold new voice to the refreshed 16 Series, pairing standout style with warm, vintage-inspired tone. Its gloss spruce top in a striking Black Smoke finish is matched with satin solid mahogany back and sides, delivering punchy midrange, strong treble response and a focused low end that sits naturally in any mix.
The slope-shoulder Dreadnought body delivers a woody, intimate character, while the shorter 24.9" scale length provides a relaxed playing feel that complements the guitar's natural warmth. Forward-shifted scalloped X-bracing enhances resonance and bass response, while the Modified Low Oval neck shape offers comfortable playability. A grained ivoroid pickguard adds a distinctive visual touch to the Black Smoke finish.
L.R. Baggs® Element™ electronics make the DSS-16E Black Smoke ready for the stage, providing a natural amplified sound that retains its warm acoustic character. With an Ebony fingerboard and bridge, Nickel Open Gear tuning machines and included Softshell case, this Martin combines vintage-inspired tone, comfortable playability and modern acoustic-electric versatility. Sky Music Australia offers the DSS-16E Black Smoke for players seeking a distinctive slope-shoulder Dreadnought with plenty of warmth and projection.
